6th UFB Invitational Tournament

SFBC Male team emerged triumphant in the 6th UFB Invitational Bowling tournament which was held in Khalifa Center in Abu Dhabi. 

The SFBC male keglers won over the guest team composed of bowlers from Abu Dhabi and Dubai clubs.  AFBC bowlers settled for third place after losing to the guest team during their knockout match.

In the ladies’ division, ADFBC female bowlers took the championship trophy home after defeating the SFBC female bowlers in their stepladder match.  Abu Dhabi team A came out third after losing to the SFBC during the knock out match.

Present during the tournament is RP national bowler Biboy Rivera who is in the UAE on the invitation of Tito Ricky Esteban of SFBC.  SFBC takes this opportunity to thank Biboy in taking time out to be with the Filipino bowlers of the UAE. 

The host SFBC wishes to congratulate all the winners and thank the participating teams for the success of the 6th UFB Invitational Bowling Tournament.

UFB Invitational Games

The 3rd UFB Invitational Games is set on May 2 2008 at the Khalifa Sports center in Abu Dhabi.  The event will be hosted by ADFBC.

Round 12 of the SFBC League tournament will be postponed on May 2 due to the UFB event and will resume on May 9 2008.

2nd UFB Invitational Games

The 2nd UFB invitational games hosted by DFBC will be played this Friday – 04 April 2008 at the Dubai Int’l Bowling Center.

SFBC – Western Union Cup follows at 7 PM after the invitational games.

Congratulations to all the winners of the 1st UFB Invitational Games

The 1st UFB Invitational bowling tournament, held last Friday, March7 2008  at the Khalifa center in Abu Dhabi saw some outstanding performances from the Filipino bowlers of the UAE. 

In the ladies division, SFBC grabbed the championship trophy from the DFBC who enjoyed a twice-to-beat advantage being in the number 1 position after 4 games in the qualifying round.  DFBC ended up in second position while Abu Dhabi team ADBG took the third spot.

SFBC’s Raquel Hayes, Ging Aring, Rica Esteban, Virgie Villar, and Minda Meneses make up the champion team.

In the men’s division, ADFBC mastered the lanes to take the first and second positions, while DFBC took the third.

The tournament was organized by the Abu Dhabi Filipino Bowling Club.

UFB 1st meeting

First Meeting of UFB-UAE held at DIBC last February 8, 2008, 7:00pm to 9:30pm

Minutes of the Meeting for reference.
The following important subject matters were agreed upon and approved by the UFB-UAE Officers during the meeting.

– Mr. Vargas turned over the UFB-UAE Presidency to Mr. del Valle (President of RAKFBC)

– Mr. Inserto was unanimously elected as the Chairman (OverAll) of the 11th GCC All-Filipino Bowling Tour and given the blanket authority to choose his Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and other committees that are necessary to run this prestigious bowling competition;

– the exact date of the 11th GCC All-Filipino Bowling Tour will be August 4 – 8, 2008 at Sh. Khalifa nternational Bowling Center, Abu Dhabi;

– sharing of net income will be ADFBC 50% and the remaining 50% to UFB (UFB-15%, DFBC-10%, SFBC- 10%, RAKFBC-7.5% and AFBC-7.5%);

– entrance fee of AED500.00 for each UAE bowler; (we request to make it for AED700.00 due to cash position shortfall);

– opening of account for UFB-UAE shall be in the name of Mr. del Valle and Mr. Espisioco (and account) in the absence of anyone, Mr. Agregado has to signed;

– uniform to all UAE bowlers will be the same regardless of the club;

– all terms and conditons mentioned above will be applied to all succeeding GCC All-Filipino Bowling  Tournament host club;

– Constitution and By-Laws of the UFB-UAE particularly the GCC shall be prepared by Mr. Agregado who volunteered to do it;

– new set of UFB-UAE Officers for 2008
